The new Ipod video
Steve Jobs is one of the US CEO that I admire. He really turn things around, Apple was at the brink of bancruptcy and see where they are now. They got the hottest mp3 player, the Ipods and the best musical store, Itunes, only in a couple years since his return.
I just saw his pressentation for Apple's new 'Ipod Video' and others. I think he realized that the next big thing is videocast. With the success of podcast, the next logical tech-trend is videocast. His ability to put the economy for music downloading is great. Can you imagine how hard it is to put together different company records, distribution and artist together to let their product out for only 99 cent, but hey he did it. Now it's video. I think it's a smart move to start letting people download music video, because Apple basically still deal with the old customers(recording industry again...). They are already happy with Apple's DRM service and the music video is just the extension of the already great partnership.
I think in the future, people will opt to buy music video more instead of audio. Why? Well, with music video you got the video and the audio. If you can't watch it because you are driving a car or doing something else important, you can just listen to it right... :) This is why the recording industry will start making more videos. So can you imagine the economy that Apple create with the videoipods, WOW right... Oh did I mention that it's only $1.99 to get video from Apple's Itune now? With ABC's two hottest series available in Itunes and the fact that ABC belongs to Disney, a major entertainment company, others will surely follow suit. Erm...provided that distribution(streaming/download) handled correctly :)
So if my prediction is correct Steve Jobs has just score another big thing haha... So...keep up the good work man ;)
